To start off, I'm trying out the new editor for Blogspot (which isn't even new; it's been around for a year). So, instead of the spoiler button, I'll just page-break. This should also shrink the blog, keeping it from being so long on the original page.
It was a super serious episode this week. I mean, you don't even have the random CV guest star for Yuu's voice that you have for the dream sequence in every other episode. Like every good necromancer should have, we see Yuu's scythe. For a more plot-based episode, I actually didn't like how it was executed.
I mean, you had the four of them wondering where Yuu went and fighting random things while Yuu and Zombie #2 were just sitting back and talking. I guess I didn't like the whole "sit back and chat" while we still know nothing.
The main thing is that even the fighting wasn't that amazing. The weird doll thing was humorous, but the other one was just kind of...
I don't know if it was intentional, but having this same scene as the other serious girl he fought was kind of... I mean, for this one, it was much less out of place, but it still didn't sit right 'cause you've now sees it happen twice.
As of now, Dai-sensei is probably one of the best characters. Yuu has been dropping ever since she turned out to be kind of worthless. She's almost like a damsel in distress...except she's supposed to be one of the strongest out there.
It was a huge break with this episode; quite clearly, it's going to be another serious episode next week and probably for duration of the season. At least they opened a lot of questions up with this episode (like, "What is the 7th abyss? What does Zombie #2 want? What's with the quest to get Yuu back home?") Either way, it should be an action-packed couple of episodes coming up...hopefully better executed than this one.
